ECE Consulting:

My Work in Childcare Programs

ECE Consultant Services

Empowering Early Childhood Teams with Heart, Experience, and Practical Support. I support Licensed Group Centres, Family Daycares, and Multi-Age Daycares.

My services go far beyond simply filling a ratio requirement. As a qualified and experienced ECE, I bring leadership, mentorship, and strategy into your classroom. I don’t just “cover” a shift — I empower your team to be the best they can be.

Whether you’re facing staffing gaps, onboarding new educators, navigating challenging classroom dynamics, or just seeking to infuse more calm and flow into your daily routines, I can help. I work alongside educators to build confidence, reduce stress, and create programs that feel good for everyone — children, staff, and families.

What I Offer

As an ECE consultant and qualified sub, I arrive with a complete staff file ready for licensing, including:

  • Up-to-date First Aid & CPR

  • Criminal Record Check

  • Resume & ECE Certificate

  • Three professional references

  • Immunization record

I can be booked for:

  • On-call or planned subbing days

  • Short-term support contracts

  • Transition support for new children

  • Team mentorship and guidance

  • Parent education evenings or workshops

My services are designed to bring ease, regulation, and empowerment to your program — for both staff and children. Some of the areas I have supported in previous centres include:

  • Improving classroom transitions to reduce chaos and increase predictability and calm

  • Coaching educators on developmentally appropriate practice and inclusive curriculum

  • Facilitating difficult conversations with parents and caregivers — such as discussing biting, hitting, developmental concerns, or the need for additional services — with empathy, professionalism, and clarity. Helping educators be able to have these conversations confidently.

  • Enhancing classroom management strategies through co-regulation and relationship-based approaches

  • Mentoring newer educators on Island Health licensing protocols and how to implement them in daily routines

  • Guiding teams in supporting children with higher needs — both diagnosed and undiagnosed — in inclusive and respectful ways

  • Teaching emotional regulation tools to both children and staff

  • Problem-solving micro-challenges in routines and team dynamics that managers may not have the time to address directly

  • Encouraging staff retention by validating educator voices, building team culture, and helping staff feel supported and competent

  • Referring families to trusted community services — I am well-acquainted with local resources across Greater Victoria and BC, including speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, behavioral therapy, equine, art, and music therapy, and can assist in guiding families toward appropriate supports when needed

Please Note: While I have extensive experience supporting children with diverse needs, I am not a behavioural consultant. My role is to support the classroom and team as a whole through getting curious and problem solving together— bringing more calm, connection, and cohesion to your program.

Let’s Work Together

If you’re looking to bring in an experienced and qualified, heart-led ECE to support your team in a meaningful way — whether for a day or for a season — I’d love to connect. My passion is uplifting educators, enhancing program quality, and creating environments where both children and adults can thrive.

A woman walking with three young children on a sidewalk in a neighborhood park. Two children are walking beside her, one wearing rain boots and a puffer jacket, and the other holding a small stuffed animal. The third child is carried on her back in a backpack carrier. The scene is in black and white with bare trees and parked cars along the street.
A woman and a boy sitting on a bed, with the woman holding a card with a cartoon witch and laughing while showing the card to the boy, who is holding a small football and looking at her.
